Wentzville, and O’Fallon and Lake St. Louis, Missouri are located on I 70 just west of St. Louis and are among the top 10 fastest growing cities in Missouri. I have grouped them together because they are so close in proximity to St. Louis. Wentzville is known as the “Crossroads of the Nation. The population of Wentzville is 5,088. The median income is $112,300 and the median income is $47,232. O’Fallon as of 2003 census reports the population to be 65,834 with a projected increase in 2004 to 69,000. The average age is 30. The median income is $60,000 with the median value of a home around $135,000. A typical 3 bedroom with 2 baths ranges in price from $162,00o to $229,000.

There are 2 universities here and O’Fallon is the headquarters for Master Card inc. and Venture Stores. The last of this trio is Lake St. Louis. Population is over 10,000. The mission of the Lake Saint Louis Chamber of Commerce is to provide a leadership role in improving the overall business climate for members through the implementation of programs and services that foster sound economic development and enhance the quality of life in Lake Saint Louis. To do so, the sales tax rate is 8.23%. The median income is $80,700 and the median price on a house is $180,000. Unemployment is only 1.55%. The largest group of owned homes is valued at $100,00 to $150,000. The next largest is $150,000 to $200,000.

There are 2 large lakes are the central features of the city. In addition to having one of the best school systems in the state, the area is well served by two major highways, which make the rest of the St. Louis region very accessible. St. Louis attractions such as Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, Spirit of St. Louis Executive Airport, UMB Bank Amphitheater, Mid Rivers and Chesterfield Shopping Malls are all within a 30-minute drive. Downtown St. Louis, the Gateway Arch, Busch Baseball Stadium, St. Louis Rams Edward Jones Dome Football Stadium, the St. Louis Symphony, the Art Museum, the Science Center, the Zoo, Washington University, St. Louis University, The University of Missouri-St. Louis and the Botanical Gardens are only a few attractions that are all within 45-minute drive of Lake St. Louis. The future looks bright for St. Lake Louis because of the quality and diversity of their housing along with structured planning for new homes. Wentzville, O’Fallon, and Lake St. Louis are definitely cities for those who want a fast pace lifestyle!
